Podcast with Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier
Dominik and Will did another entrepreneurship-podcast. This one with the finance-expert of the Swiss startup scene, Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier, a guy with an unpronouncable name who calls himself "VUI" from time to time because of that :-).

Learnings:
#1: Getting funded is labor-intensive and can take quite some time (6-12 months)
#2: CTI Invest can save you time during the funding process
#3: Be opportunistic! If a great deal shows up, take it!
#4: A personal introduction to an investor is key. Don’t send e-mails to strangers. Get referred personally. A good starting point to get a referal is venturelab.
#5: Cash is king and liquidity is oxygen.
#6: The businessmodel is key. Answer this question: Who pays how much for what and why?
#7: Remember Guy Kawasaki: Make this world a better place!

I work for Guy Kawasaki. Thanks for your comment about Guy in #7 and the link to his blog!

Mary-Louise:
You’re welcome. As I already told Guy by e-mail, Switzerland (and especially venturelab et al.) loves Guy Kawasaki :-). But I think he experienced that himself as Dominik had breakfast with him last autumn.
